As I know, this is the first big chorus recording up to now in Persian Language. It’s really amazing 500 people choruses. 500 schoolboys of the American boys school in Tehran.
If guess it is a pre Vaziri period record in it’s type. I mean a record in Persian language with a choir of 500 voices. Vaziri as far as I know made vocal ensemble music. We we accept that Vaziri’s work is not a 50-voice chamber chorus, so we can accept that this record is a unique one with 500 voices. Maybe there are other records in a big chorus, which are not yet detected.
Dear colleague Mr. Mohsen Mohammadi believe it is a 1928 Columbia record. And Mr. Larri Stellar believe that the first half is the same melody as "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". The tune was written around 1855.
The name of song on the first half is “darm az khoda” and the second half “Madresseh Ma”. I prefer to edit the song titles as follows:
1. Madresseye Ma (our school) 2. Daram az Khoda (I have it from God)
Any comments would be appreciated.
