Dear Parham,

the daf arrived two days ago. I'm so satisfied! Sound is amazing and it's not too difficult to play... so many sounds you can make. There are no words to describe... that's why music is there!

I wish I could study with a "maestro".. in case you know one living in Italy, I would be very grateful to you if you could send me his contact. On the web I found many video, but is not the same.

Dear Pooyan,

 I picked up my daf today.  Excellent packing arrived safely.  I will do my best to learn how to play it.  I will show it to the children at the schools where I sometimes work.  Sometimes drums can create interest where words can't.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich doch bei Dir ein Daf gekauft, vielleicht erinnerst Du Dich. Ich war ja erst einmal gar nicht in Deutschland und dann war bei mir soo viel los, dass ich erstmal gar nicht dazu kam und es dann einfach vergessen habe mich noch mal zu melden.. Aber ich wollte es nicht einfach so verkommen lassen also mache ich es jetzt, zwar mit einiger Verspätung aber doch noch... ich möchte mich einfach bedanken, für die unkomplizierte und schnelle Lieferung und für die erstklassige Ware! Das Instrument ist wirklich super, mit sehr schönem Klang und super bequem in der Haltung. Vielen Dank Pooyan!

Dear Pooyan and Parham,

The daf was delivered today.

First impressions:
The sound quality of the instrument really surprised me. It had quite low pitch (which actually I liked) when taken out of the box, but after placing it near my big computer monitor (source of heat) for about an hour the skin got tight and the pitch also was raised a bit. I think I will not have problems with sound due humidity when playing indoors (in my home studio), although we have some really heavy rains right now here in Slovenia.

I even recorded the daf and the sound was really amazing.  

So far I am very satisfied with the daf – I expected good instrument, but I believe I received an excellent one. 
Thank you again for your help, I will surely tell my friends where I got this beautiful frame drum.

Hi Parham,

Yes the daf arrived safely and I am very pleased with it! I had time to get used to it (I usually play a ghaval) and used it in a performance in a festival last weekend and I am planning to use it plenty more in the future. Thanks for the tip about the heated pad as well which has helped in our wet climate. I opted for a natural skin as I much prefer the sound (I find that the synthetic heads have a 'ring' that I don't really like and I find the natural heads much more characterful) however for the winter months I might need to come back to you for a synthetic headed drum just for the predictability of the tone.

Yes Parham,

Today I had the instruments. Wonderful Instruments.

The synthetic skin of the Daf seem a litte delicate, we hope to resist several concerts. Have you any suggestions for the maintenance of the Daf? Thank you for your professionalism, definitely I will buy other instruments and recommend your online store .... maybe next time I will buy the daf with natural skin.

Dear Parham

The Daf arrived today, I love it. What a difference in the sound between my old synthetic skin Daf and the natural skin Daf. I used to understand how the Daf might influence people spiritually, but now I know why it is a sacred instrument.

I want to thank you for the open communication, and answering all the questions I had concerning the Daf itself and making my purchase.
The processing and delivery were incredibly fast considering how far the Daf had to travel.

In the future I will purchase any Persian instruments through Santoori.com and I will recommend your site to my friends and the local Iranian community here in Halifax.

Dear Parham

I received the Daf and it is beautiful! I took it out of the soft case to dry out. I have a question about fire. We usually sit outside in the cold nights and play drums by the fire- do you recommend NOT doing with this Daf? I am so excited to give this to my husband for his birthday. I hope to buy a santoor and tombak in the future so he will not be so homesick. Thank you so much!
