Pooyan is the second child of Nassehpoor musician family, who begann studying Persian santoor at the age of eight under the most influentional santoor teacher and Radif classicist Majid Kiani and some years later under Dr. Soheyl Sadi-Nezhad.

He began to teach santoor as he was 20 years old. Most autodidactically educated Pooyan Persian old recorded compositions for enrichment his soloist improvisation.

Now after more than 15 years experiencing teaching by ear (Sine be Sine style) , he developed his own teaching hearing-related style without complicated transcripts, which makes his santoor lessons simple for every participants.

Pooyan after moving to Germany in 2004, started his new concept of distance learning for his students outside of Germany.

Since 2007 Pooyan teaches some students from Germany, Italy, UK and USA and some other countries. For all, who doesn't have any Santoor teacher in their area.

Santoori suggested to read the articel "Persian Santoor tuning charts and the location of courses", so that your instrument is ready for online meeting.

Santoori suggested non-binding using "Sound Forge 6.0" as a very practical audio editing tool for analyzing the melodies and offering many specific supports like pitch down etc.
